Internet Presence Consulting, Inc. Receives "Outstanding Website" Award from the Web Marketing Association

DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Internet Presence Consulting, Inc., an Internet and interactive development firm founded in 1996, is the proud recipient of the Web Marketing Association’s 2002 “Outstanding Website" Award. This award was presented for IPC’s work on the Chicago Solar Partnership website http://www.chicagosolarpartnership.org. The WebAward Competition provides web professionals recognition and validation for their outstanding work.

This is the sixth annual competition produced by the Web Marketing Association designed to highlight the individuals and companies leading the way in the creation of corporate websites that provide a well-rounded experience for Internet users. Each WebAward entry is judged by Internet marketing, advertising, PR and design professionals from around the country against a standard of excellence for design, innovation, use of technology, content, interactivity, navigation, and ease of use.

The Chicago Solar Partnership is an effort spearheaded by ComEd, the City of Chicago, the Chicago Public Schools and other sponsoring parties to promote awareness about generating power from renewable resources such as photovoltaic (solar), wind, geothermal, gas (methane) and hydro (water) energy.

The target audience for the website includes consumers in a position to install renewable power at their facilities, and school children who, with the guidance of their teachers, will derive a valuable education about the ecological impact of renewable energy use through Flash multimedia diagrams and downloadable lesson plans. Visitors to the site can view real-time data from numerous photovoltaic installations around Chicago including the Field Museum of Natural History, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and The Art Institute of Chicago.
