Internet Presence Consulting
Olympic Signs
Olympic Signs is an established Chicagoland sign company that has earned its reputation for a solid product and excellent customer service. In the competitive market of today's sign industry, Olympic Signs uses their new website to separate themselves from the competition.

objective

Olympic Signs wanted an easy-to-use website using straightforward navigation, and bright, energetic colors, which would attract new and existing customer bases within their service area. An online Employment area would list open positions and allow for online applications, while a Service Request Form could receive customer inquiries and notify the Service Department in near real-time via email. In addition, Olympic Signs required development of a Job Status application to promote more interactive and immediate online communications with their customers.

solution
Logo: We added excitement and energy to the site by rendering a three-dimensional version of the Olympic Signs logo, and animating it with life-like highlights and shadows.

Photo Editing: Using the supplied digital photos, we enhanced the sign gallery images to provide high-impact images with a consistent look-and-feel.

Interface: The use of a left-side navigation for the main site areas, and a top right positioning for secondary topics allows the user to quickly navigate the site for information.

Programming: An employment form uses secure encryption to protect the privacy of job applicants. A service request form takes information submitted by the customer and delivers it via email to the Service Department for a prompt response. A password-protected Job Status area allows customers to login and view (or download) a listing of their open projects. Customers may edit comments and/or dates for review by their Olympic Signs project manager. Olympic Signs administration may login to add, edit, or delete client company profiles within the customer database, as well as adding, editing, or deleting individual job listings.

Customization: Using MapQuest as a base, we created a script which dynamically generates driving directions that are customized to each user's geographic location.
